“iumi — the band — was born in 2023 of a chance encounter between two artists, Aveleen and Paul Nova, in a musical community, an alchemy of sound, music and poetry.

 

Aveleen had long been searching for an artist who could bring her, rich, dense, and complex world to life through music.

 

For his part, Paul had also been looking for a long time to write with an artist who could sing and possessed a truly unique universe.

 

Aveleen, whose voice is sometimes haunting, sometimes incredibly ethereal, took her audience, with lyrics alternating between realism and fantasy, through landscapes of subtle colors and textures, with particularly chiseled melodies.
